In the Footsteps of the Rebbes…
In the early 17th century, in a small town in the Bukovina province in Northern Romania, Israel ben Eliezer, the Baal Shem Tov, was born. He would become immersed in Kabbalah and mystical studies and eventually was hired to be a faith healer and a miracle worker. A charismatic person, he gathered a small group of followers around him who went on to spread his teachings. This trip will tell the story of how this small group went on to establish one of the most influential Jewish movements in modern times.
